Domination at Whilton Mill!

WMKC Round 5

This weekend would be Josh’s first with his new E Plate on his kart, following his victory at the SuperPrix which crowned him English Champion! Running the plate on the kart adds pressure with other drivers and spectators knowing you are one to watch! But, in usual ‘Josh’ style, he proved he is certainly worthy of the title!

Warm up/Practice

With support from Jan and Max at Project One East Anglia throughout the practice day, Josh set blisteringly fast times and was feeling confident for race day! His family were able to attend after the circuits finally opened up for spectators, so he had a lot of people to impress!

The Heats

Just two heats this weekend, with Josh starting P8 and P13 in them. His pace from Saturday converted to race day and this allowed him to storm through in both heats to take two wins out of two!

A Final

The Final –

Becoming a trend now, starting in pole for the final at Whilton, Josh got a cracking start! He pulled away from the field and never had a threat of losing the lead. It was a fantastic win in-front of his family and a great way to start off racing with the E plate onboard his kart! This result has given Josh the championship lead at the Northamptonshire circuit.
